MAKING AN IMPACT AT WORK AND IN OUR COMMUNITIES
Every year, our people volunteer thousands of hours in the community. We talked to a few of our many volunteers to learn a little more about their volunteer activities and why they do them. Watch the video to hear their stories. Thanks to all of our volunteers for making the world a better place.

Yearly Growth
We continued our good growth strategy to deliver impact for our sponsors, build partnerships, and connect with the communities in which we work and live. For MITRE, 2020 was an extraordinary year, requiring speed, collaboration, and agility to meet the dynamics of a global pandemic, social injustice, and political uncertainty, as well as to maintain our fiscal health. We prioritized the health and safety of our employees and continued to deliver on mission critical programs for our sponsors.
Why MITRE
As a not-for-profit company, we bridge a gap between government and industry, tackling complex challenges with no commercial interest.
For more than 60 years, we’ve applied systems thinking to solve complex national and global challenges and bring an interdisciplinary perspective to R&D. We operate six federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), as well as MITRE Labs and our independent R&D program.
We are systems thinkers, learners, knowledge-sharers, and risk-takers. MITRE touches your life every day in ways you may not realize.
